Ang pagsisisi ay laging nasa huli

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Are you planning to start a business to give more comfortable life to your family but you are afraid to make mistakes or baka walang bumili ng produkto mo?

Do you want to invest in real estate or foreclosure to have a passive income but you are worrying about the legalities and taxes involved?

Or you want to learn podcasting (like me) or anything that you want to pursue but you are afraid of failing and what other people may say?

Then, I have good news for you to pursue and achieve what you want in life.

Always think of this phrase, Life is Too Short.

It sounds simple and becomes a cliché’ already but it’s very powerful.

We always here from people these words:

  • Parang ang bilis ng panahon kelan lang you are just a student and now you are in a corporate world who always trying to survive each day.
  • Your children are now growing so fast and for just a blink of an eye they are settling down already.

What’s holding you back to do the things you have dreamed of?

  • Is it the fear of failure?
  • Uncertainty?
  • Getting out of your comfort zone?
  • Leaving the secured life?

I understand because you and I are just human.

For me, I would rather fail and make mistakes than to live a life full of regrets.

Even if you failed to get what you want, at least you try your best.

If you really want to achieve something, you just have to commit yourself to get it and I know someday that you can make it.

By doing little things everyday which aligns to your goals, you will get surprised someday that you are one step away to get what you want.

Don’t waste your time over analyzing things and just start taking action today.

I remember what Tony Robbins shared about the “rocking chair test

This will help you decide if a certain goal is worth pursuing or not.

Ok, let’s do a time travel exercise.

Let’s say for example you want to build your own restaurant or your dream business but you are afraid to fail and losing your capital.

Imagine for a while that you are now already retired at the age of 70 and sitting in your rocking chair. Naiihi ka na minsan sa salawal mo. 🙂

You are now in the future state.

Looking back in the past, do you think you will regret if you didn’t start your dream business before?

Are you wondering if you were able to help a lot of people to have a job because of your business?

Do you think if your life mission and purpose are incomplete because you didn’t pursue your dream business?

Now, let’s go back to reality.

The answers to those questions will help you to decide if a thing that you want to do is worth pursuing or not.

You see, by doing this simple exercise it can give you guidance in decision-making.

Let me know how it goes here.

Thanks Marvin for sharing your inspiring thoughts. Indeed, time is gold.

More often than not, it is very easy to be trap into analysis-paralysis syndrome, thinking too much on things that should be made simple, being so worried on things that we should not be.

I realized that sometimes, all we need is a guts to make one simple baby step to take actions on what we should have done 5..10…or 20 years ago. After all, great things comes from small and humble beginning.
