No more excuses

I’ve just realized that when you started to shift your mindset as an investor and entrepreneur, you will notice different view in any aspects of life.

I rarely watched TV and opted to read book instead. But when I watched Gandang Gabi Vice, I just noticed something.

For most people they will expect to get entertained and laughters from Vice Ganda.

For me aside from the fun that I’m getting, I analyzed that it’s actually created by ABS to be a venue for promotion like any other shows.

Anyways, have you seen the news about the homeless student who graduated from Lyceum?

Her name is Rodallie Mosende who lived in the small sari-sari store in Quiapo since her young age.

Imagine they don’t have their own electricity, water and restroom. It was a big challenge for a student like her but it didn’t stop her.

She did everything to earn her degree like sweeping floors, begging money in the street and many others.

Fortunately, there was a photographer who documented her life by taking photos of her and got the attention of anonymous donor who gave her monthly allowance to fund her education.

This is a very inspiring story that reminds us that poverty or any challenges in life are not a hindrance to achieve our dreams.

Many Filipinos blame their current situation not to pursue what they want in life such as:

  • Lolo’t lola ko e mahirap and my parents are poor. Therefore, I will also be poor in my entire life.
  • I cannot start my own business because I have my own family and have kids already. Also, I have no time and capital.
  • I will not succeed in investing because I don’t know anyone who invested in stock market or foreclosure.
  • I will not be an entrepreneur because my family, friends and relatives are ofw’s or corporate employees like me.

Listen, let me tell you this, these are all excuses that is why you are not achieving what you want in life.

You have to work hard for it and persevere until you succeed.

Whenever I find myself making excuses not to pursue and work on my goals, I always remind myself about the life of Nic Vujicic (a man without limbs).

Imagine, he has no arms and legs but he was able to achieve his dreams and purpose in life. Who am I to make excuses?

He is now an author, speaker, actor and evangelist who spread the words of God and changing lives millions of people.

Instead of making excuses, I ask myself this question “what are the things that I can do to achieve my goals despite of any challenges“?
