Risk VS Calculated Risk

Hey Bro and Sis,

I’m here again your Wais friend, Marvin Basa.

I believe that every action that you want to take has its own risk.

Ano nga ba ang difference ng, risk and calculated risk?

On 2011, together with my friends we flew going to Singapore to find a job. We took the risk because we resigned in our current job without guaranteed employment there.

However, before I decide to take that risk, I planned it for almost 3 years. I research the demand jobs there, attended short courses to upgrade my skills, applied to related job to have experience, read online forums, etc.

After a month, we got a job. I call it “calculated risk” because there were preparation and planning.

You see, its the same thing in investing and business which has a risk. But if you do your homework before you start. You are taking calculated risk which has a high chance of winning.

When you invest in stock market and you didn’t research the background of the company. You just follow the forum and social media advice. Malaki ang change na you will lose money.

So my friend, don’t be afraid to start investing and do business. There are risks involved but if you do your homework. You will succeed.

To your financial success,

Marvin Basa
