Small or big things, where do you focus on?

It’s been a while that I created a blog post because of home project and personal health matter.

I returned in playing basketball again after so many years of postponing it and after moving away from my hometown and childhood friends.

I felt relive because this is one of my passions sport and really love playing with my friends and co-workers.

Today, I would like to ask you about the things that you are focusing on.

Where do you focus on, small or big things in your life?

Where do you put your effort, time and energy most of the time?

One Sunday, my wife and I went to Manaog church to worship God and give thanks for all the blessings that He gave us.

We took the early bus ride and reached the church without hurdle.

We prayed and stayed there for a while and walk all over the place.

Then, we decided to go home before the sunset.

While on the road going back to Manila, we stuck in traffic for about 3-4 hours.

Can you guess what I felt on that time?

I was happy.

What? Marvin, are you kidding me? Traffic na e masaya ka pa!

Hang on. I was happy not because of the traffic but I was able to read and almost finish the book that I brought.

I let the small bad thing happen and make the big thing happen.

I focused on making big things towards my goals which are to get motivated, learn new things and pick up the brain of successful people by reading that book.

I let the small bad thing happen like the traffic not to run my day by putting my effort and energy to complain, get angry and be frustrated

Especially, those small bad things that I don’t have control with.

Of course, only you who can identify what are the small and big things for you.

Listen, you have to focus on making your big things happen such as:

  • Learning and starting a new business
  • Investing in stock market
  • Making your dream house come true
  • And many more…

And let the small bad things happen and not to use all your effort, time and energy on these things.

  • Like, missing the train or bus
  • Stuck in traffic
  • Someone cut you off on the road
  • Sudden water or electricity interruption
  • Got wet in the rain or flood and others

Don’t let small bad things ruin your day.

To your financial success,

That’s right! Turning adversities into opportunities…

Agree, focus on things that matters most…

Thanks Marvin for sharing your thoughts.
